How To Remove Cockroaches From Your House

By Albert Keithly

Cockroaches are small, irksome insects that inhabit almost each and every part of the world. They mostly inhabit dark and wet areas of a house and feed upon any type of organic matter. They damage and infest all kinds of edible things and can also be carriers of harmful diseases. Hence, one needs to eliminate the cockroach population in a permanent and effective manner.

Many people opt for strong insecticides and sprays that turn out to be quite dangerous for the human beings living in the apartment as well. Hence, it is recommended to make use of natural methods for driving the cockroaches out of the residence instead of using harmful chemicals.

You can start by amending your kitchen habits and ensuring that not just your kitchen but your sink and the space below it are also kept clean. You should also make sure that all utensils are washed timely and are not left unclean for long. As cockroaches like dark and wet places, the area in and around the sink offers them the best suited environment to thrive. You must try keeping all your food items covered in order to stop enticing the cockroaches to nibble on your food.

It is important to block all the cracks and spaces, especially those near your water pipes and drainages as these are the main points of entry for cockroaches. You should also take care of the areas near the sewers and keep them dry and clean, so as to stop the cockroaches from breeding there. If you live in an area, where there are common litter bins around, you should try getting them removed as they could be one of the prime reasons for the cockroach invasion in your house.

Lastly, if you are unable to get rid of the cockroaches by natural ways, you must opt for chemicals such as boric acid that are milder and less harmful for humans than other powerful sprays and pesticides.
